Unveiling the Best Manufacturing Company of the Year:
Bidco Uganda Limited's Success Story
Bidco Uganda Limited has once again received prestigious accolades, solidifying its position as the
Best Manufacturing Company of the Year at the 11th Annual Visionaries of Uganda Awards.
Organized by Visionaries of Uganda, the ceremony aims to honor entities and individuals who contribute
significantly to the realization of Vision 2040.
This event showcases innovative efforts that positively impact millions and drive Uganda's socio-economic
transformation.
The theme of the event was "Celebrating Inclusive Economic Growth and Dynamic Leadership through Innovation,
Value Addition, and Industrialization for continued socio-economic Transformation of Uganda."
It was graced by the presence of the 3rd Deputy Prime Minister, Hon. Rukia Nakadama.
This recognition follows Bidco Uganda Limited's recent triumph at the People's Choice Awards,
where the company was lauded as the best producer of cooking oil, washing soap, and detergent.
Bidco Uganda Limited is known for manufacturing popular products such as Fortune Butto,
White Star Magic Laundry Bar Soap, and White Star Magic Powder.
The company also secured awards for Best Washing Detergent, Best Fortified Cooking Oil,
and Best Laundry Bar Soap.
The accolades continued at the East Africa Brand Quality Awards, where Bidco Uganda Limited was honored
with a Platinum Award as the foremost manufacturer of fast-moving consumer goods in East Africa.
Notably, the company also clinched another Platinum Award for being the top manufacturer
of edible vegetable oils and detergents in the region.
Saba Teleclemariam, Head of Quality Assurance and Food Safety at Bidco Uganda Limited, expressed joy
at the recognition, emphasizing the company's commitment to ensuring product safety through established
systems and standards. She sees the awards as both a validation and a challenge, pushing the company
to maintain its leadership in the FMCG sector and continually improve.
Rajdeep Chakraborty, the Head of Marketing and Exports at Bidco Uganda Limited, shares the sentiment
of consumer appreciation and emphasizes the company's unwavering commitment to upholding
established standards and guidelines.
He highlights that these awards serve as a source of inspiration for Bidco Uganda Limited, driving them
to consistently deliver the best to their consumers while continuously seeking
opportunities for improvement.
